In April 2007, the developer proposed to convert a 100 year-old building into a 107-room boutique hotel instead of a mixed-used project with 65 condominium units and 5,400 square feet of ground floor retail space.

The developer had accumulated 6 properties for the project. The original condo plans called for 9 efficiencies, 33 one bedrooms, 4 one bedrooms with den, 9 two bedrooms, 10 two bedrooms with den.

Developer proposed to switch plans from a condo to a hotel. Original delivery date for the condo was 2007. Alexandria City originally approved the condo plans in late 2005.
